Sloane Labs
Phase 01, live

Phase 1. The conversational coach.

Phase 1 gives you a coach you can talk to. Text or voice, in plain English, with memory of what you have already said. It is live today for everyone using Sloane.

What it does

You open Sloane and describe your day. A short night, a heavy week, a race weekend coming up. Sloane replies in plain language, asks a sensible follow-up and keeps the thread going. There is no form to fill in and no score to interpret.

The same conversation runs by voice. You can talk while walking or driving, and the transcript is kept with the rest of the conversation so nothing is lost between modes.

Multi-modal input

You can bring things into the conversation as well as describe them. A photo of a training plan, a PDF from a clinician, a CSV export from another app. Sloane reads them and uses them as context for the rest of the conversation.

Limits are deliberately modest: images, PDFs and text files, a few per message. The point is context, not storage.

Memory

Sloane keeps a coach profile: your goals, your constraints, what has worked before and what you have asked it to stop suggesting. That profile is read before every reply, so you are not repeating yourself in week three.

Memory is yours. You can read it, correct it and delete it from settings.

Why this comes first

Everything later in the roadmap depends on Sloane understanding your situation in your own words. Signals from a wearable tell you what changed. Only the conversation tells you why it changed and what you are willing to do about it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a wearable to use Phase 1?
No. The conversational coach works from what you tell it. Connecting a wearable adds the signals used in Phase 2.
Does the voice mode use my microphone all the time?
No. Voice runs only while a session is open and you have started it. Nothing is listening in the background.
Can my employer read my conversations?
No. Personal conversations stay private to you. Leadership only ever sees aggregated group-level readings, and only where a team has opted into that.
