Agentic performance intelligence
Agentic performance intelligence describes tools that do more than display data. Instead of leaving a person or a manager to interpret a chart, the system notices a change against a baseline and offers a specific, timely suggestion. The word agentic refers to the fact that the system acts, within limits, rather than waiting to be asked.
This is different from traditional workplace analytics, which tends to be descriptive. A dashboard might show that someone had eleven meetings this week. Agentic performance intelligence goes a step further and asks whether eleven meetings is unusual for that person, and if so, offers something useful to do about it.
Sloane sits in this category. It reads wearable, calendar and team-tool metadata, compares the current pattern to a person's own recent baseline, and offers a suggestion when something has genuinely shifted. It asks before it acts and has no authority to change anyone's calendar or messages on its own.
The category is young, and the term is sometimes used loosely to describe anything with an AI feature bolted on. A useful test is whether the system takes initiative on a person's behalf, within clear boundaries, or whether it simply presents information for a human to act on unprompted.
